Representing 30 shooting clubs across the county, the LSRA has recently launched a project to introduce school, college and university pupils to target shooting and encourage them to set up school or community shooting clubs. They also work to increase participation in shooting and runs experience days for both able-bodied and disabled participants.

To support the project, Edgar Brothers has donated a range of nine Hatsan air rifles, two Hatsan air pistols and six Chiappa CO2 air pistols. It has also donated nine of its renowned OPTI-10 3.9x40mm riflescopes, a foot-pump for the pre-charged rifles and more than 10,000 airgun pellets. The retail value of the donated equipment, which will be used by participants in the new clubs and on experience days, amounts to around £3,750.

Lisa Riley, Director of Edgar Brothers Shooting Sports and Outdoor Divisions, commented: “Lincolnshire Small-bore Rifle Association is doing an absolutely first class job of promoting shooting and encouraging newcomers to take up the sport. We are delighted to be able support its work in this area by donating a range of high quality airguns and equipment to ensure both the able-bodied and the disabled can participate fully in this great initiative.”

Dave Carter, Development Officer for Lincolnshire Small-bore Rifle Association, added: “We have had a tremendous reaction to the new project but until now it has been hampered by lack of equipment. Thanks to the generosity of Edgar Brothers we can now press ahead with our plans and work to increase awareness of and participation in the fantastic, social and rewarding sport of target shooting.”
