Fig 1. Showing the rifle leaned to the right in order to reach the loading port with the right elbow still on the firing point. This technique has major flaws, particularly with a full bore rifle. Even the slight recoil of the .22 rim fire will cause the sling to loosen even after just two, or three shots if you leave the rifle butt in the shoulder to reload. If this is not corrected, there will be a high incidence of shot loss on the score board. Not recommended!
